Jr High & High School Ministries

SUNDAY SCHOOL: Discipling generations is a value of Visalia Christian Reformed Church and each Sunday we offer opportunities for our Junior High and High School students to participate in different classes. Sunday School is available 9:30-10:20 during the school year. Classes are split by grade and study different parts of Reformed Doctrine. Stop by the Information Booth to find the class for your child.

JUNIOR HIGH YOUTH GROUP meets on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays. 7th and 8th grade students gather for a unique and completely eclectic brand of worship, teaching, small groups, and unadulterated fun. Each student is part of a small group, based on grade and gender with passionate adult Christ-followers who mentor and share their faith journey. The youth group kicks off the year with a beach retreat, takes time to head to Hume Christian Camp for a winter retreat and each summer spends a week growing with God and community at Camp Jubilee and a long weekend in San Diego learning what it looks like to live a life of service.

HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH GROUP meets on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays. 9th- 12th grade students hang out and live the Christian life together. They worship, meet in small groups, and engage in pure adventure, bolstering community and simply enjoying life together. Small groups continue from junior high. Each year there are different retreats and trips for the group to connect to each other and to God. A fall beach retreat, a winter retreat to Hume or Shaver for skiing, summer camp at Hi-Camp, and a service trip to Rehoboth, NM.

HIGH SCHOOL CONNECT GROUPS meet on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays. 9th-11th grade students and leaders gathering in their small groups to dig deeper in God's Word and how it intersects with their lives.

SENIOR CATECHISM on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays our 12th grade students meet with one of our pastors to study the reformed confessions and discuss its importance in their faith journey and how it intersects with their lives.
